Alright ECATs. It was great to meet you all yesterday at your meeting. You're off to a great start and I look forward to keeping up with your progress.
As you know, I am responsible for the Chapter's efforts to encourage recycling. As such, I wanted to direct you all to this link which nicely illustrates the connection between solid waste reduction (aka recycling) and the pending climate crisis. It turns out that my recycling efforts work hand in hand with your green building and energy conservation efforts -- who would have guessed?!
I would also love to point out a essay that has shaped my perspective on environmentalism and that directly addresses the strategies being used to discourage this completely avoidable climate crisis.
